Sargodha, June 21, 2024:

Allah Rakhi Bibi, the 72-year-old widow of Nazir Masih, who was tragically murdered by a mob following blasphemy allegations, has passed away. She took her last yesterday noon, leaving behind a legacy marked by profound sorrow and resilience.

Allah Rakhi Bibi was married to 74 years old Nazir Masih, who fell victim to a fanatic mob in Mujahid Colony, Sargodha, after blasphemy allegations were raised against him by local Muslims. The brutal attack left Nazir in critical condition, and despite being shifted to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries on June 3, 2024, in the Intensive Care Unit.

Their son, Sultan Gill, spoke to the White Post, recounting the severe mental trauma his mother endured following the brutal murder of his father. “The loss of my father was difficult for her to digest. She was in shock and faced significant mental trauma and remained socially isolated after the attacks,” he said.

Allah Rakhi Bibi, originally from Khushab, Sargodha, was deeply affected by the tragic events that befell her family. Her mental health deteriorated rapidly after her husband’s shocking death, culminating in her own passing. She leaves behind seven grieving children—two sons and five daughters—all of whom are married.

In a somber ceremony, Allah Rakhi Bibi was laid to rest next to her husband, Nazir Masih, in the local Gillwala graveyard in Sargodha. The burial took place yesterday around 8:00 PM, attended by family and community members who mourned the loss of a woman whose final days were marred by immense grief and hardship.
