Iman Mariyam, a dedicated Christian student of Gender & Development Studies at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), has been chosen as a principal candidate for the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program for Pakistan (Global UGRAD Pakistan) Spring 2025. This esteemed recognition highlights Mariyam’s exceptional academic achievements and commitment to her studies.
The Vice-Chancellor of LCWU, Prof. Dr. Shagufta Naz, and the Dean Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal, expressed their admiration for Mariyam’s remarkable accomplishment. Describing her as a source of pride for the university, they commended her outstanding academic excellence and dedication to her field of study.
Iman Mariyam’s selection for the Global UGRAD program, with an acceptance rate of just 0.07%, underscores her exceptional abilities and unwavering commitment to academic pursuits. She has emerged as a shining example within her department, embodying the values of dedication and excellence.
It is noteworthy that Mariyam follows in the footsteps of her elder brother, Dheeraj Behram, who was also selected for this global opportunity in 2019.
