The Development Office of the Diocese of Raiwind, Church of Pakistan, organized a Scholarship Guidance Program on Monday at 17 Waris Road, Lahore, focusing on the Hungary Scholarship Program for Christian young people for the 2025/26 academic year. The event, held under the leadership of The Most Rev. Dr. Azad Marshall, Moderator and President Bishop of the Church of Pakistan and Bishop of Raiwind, aimed to provide potential applicants with essential insights and guidance on studying in Hungary through the Hungarian Helps Scholarship.
The program attracted participants from diverse academic backgrounds, all interested in learning about the scholarship’s purpose, eligibility criteria, application steps, and benefits. The gathering began with a warm welcome and an opening devotion led by The Very Rev. Emmanuel Khokhar, Dean of the Diocese, who urged attendees to make the most of this opportunity, stressing the importance of dedication in pursuing academic goals abroad.
During the introductory session, participants received an overview of the Hungary Scholarship Program, an initiative by the Hungarian government supporting international education. The program provides financial support, academic resources, and access to prestigious Hungarian universities. A subsequent language assessment allowed participants to gauge their readiness for studying in Hungary.
The Development Team then conducted a comprehensive informational session, covering each step of the application process. Key topics included eligibility requirements, necessary documentation, and submission deadlines, ensuring that attendees left with a clear pathway for successful applications.
Rev. Shahzad Gill, Development Advisor, expressed appreciation for the participants’ enthusiasm and acknowledged parish leaders for their support in encouraging attendance. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and refreshments, offering a relaxed environment for attendees to network and discuss their aspirations for studying abroad.
