The Pakistan Embassy in the UAE hosted a Christmas celebration at its premises in Abu Dhabi, bringing together members of the Pakistani Christian expatriate community and Embassy officials. The event aimed to foster unity and mark the festive occasion.
Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi addressed the gathering, emphasizing the universal message of love and peace associated with Christmas. He highlighted the importance of interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence, referencing the teachings of Pakistan’s founding father, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on equality and non-discrimination among all citizens.
“I am pleased to host this special occasion with our Christian community members,” Ambassador Tirmizi said. “Your contributions to Pakistan’s progress and development are invaluable. On behalf of the Embassy, I extend heartfelt Christmas greetings to all members of the Pakistani Christian community in the UAE.”
The event included speeches by Christian leaders, including Pastor Nasir Taj, Pastor Robert, and Pastor Philemon George, who expressed gratitude to the Embassy for its support. Special prayers were offered, along with Christmas carols and a ceremonial cake-cutting.
The celebration was moderated by Roheel Zafar Shahi, a prominent social and political activist, and was attended by a large number of Christian families residing in the UAE. The event underscored the Embassy’s commitment to inclusivity and community engagement.
