Philadelphia, PA – February, 2025:

A delegation of lawyers from Pakistan was warmly received by the Philadelphia community during a special luncheon held on February 8. The event, titled “Lunch with the Lawyers’ Delegation from Pakistan,” brought together legal professionals, religious leaders, and community members to promote dialogue on justice, faith, and social issues.

The delegation included Kashif Alexander Advocate High Court, Nadia Hameed Advocate High Court, and Abisaloom Robin Bhatti Advocate High Court, alongside distinguished guests from the United States, Sohail Aslam and Khalid Tabassum. Their visit aimed to strengthen relationships between legal and faith-based communities while fostering discussions on shared concerns.

During the program, prayers were offered for the victims of recent tragedies in Los Angeles, as well as for the U.S. administration, emphasizing peace and governance. The gathering also recognized Aaron Bashir for his appointment as Legislative Director in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

The event was organized by Pastor Shahzad Anjum, Lubna Barkat, and Shammas Shamaun, with facilitation by Mrs. Imtiaz Haq, Dr. Sara Reuben, Dr. Reuben Azad, Irfan Khan, and Anwaar ul Haq.

Prominent community members in attendance included Mr. & Mrs. Maqsood Ul Haq, Bashir Masih, Anwer Sadique, Asif Pervaiz, Pastor Khurshid Sharif, Pastor Sernawaz Dean, Pastor Ishfaq Rafique, Pastor Junaid Jacob, Pastor Romeo Saleem, Pastor Ilyas Nawab, Bruce Sardar, Peter Gill, Anthony Dean, Victor Gill, James Gill, Boaz Amir, Rockas Adeel, and Samson Yaqoob, among others.

The gathering highlighted the spirit of unity and collaboration, reinforcing a shared commitment to justice, faith, and humanitarian values within the local and international communities.
