In a bid to address issues of minority representation and combat extremism in Pakistan, the Rwadari Tehreek Chairman has called for significant reforms. The organization advocates for an end to the current unfair and undemocratic Proportional Representation System for filling reserved seats for minorities in the national and provincial assemblies.
Under the proposed reforms, minorities would have the right to elect their own representatives within the joint electorate system, providing them with a fair chance to have their voices heard at the highest levels of government. This move aims to ensure greater inclusivity and representation for minority communities within the political landscape of Pakistan.
Additionally, the Rwadari Tehreek Chairman emphasized the urgent need for the implementation of the National Action Plan to combat extremism effectively. This entails adopting a zero-tolerance policy towards banned terrorist outfits, with no room for compromises. The organization advocates for a comprehensive, long-term strategy to reduce intoleranceintolerance and extremist ideologies within Pakistani society.
Key components of this strategy include reforms in the educational curriculum to promote tolerance and inclusivity, as well as the effective enforcement of bans on hate speech and materials that incite violence. By addressing these underlying issues, Rwadari Tehreek aims to foster a more peaceful and inclusive society for all Pakistanis.
Asmarah Daud, Secretariat In-charge of Rwadari Tehreek Pakistan, reiterated these objectives, highlighting the importance of proactive measures to address the root causes of extremism and promote harmony among diverse communities. The organization’s advocacy reflects a commitment to building a more equitable and secure future for Pakistan.
