In a ceremony held on February 17, 2024, Mr. Chela Ram Kewlani, Chairman of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP), presented certificates to participants of the 1st Batch of the Pakistan Rice Technical Course. The course, aimed at providing in-depth knowledge of rice varieties, was successfully completed by the participants under the guidance of Ms. Yasmin Ismail, a member of the REAP Managing Committee, and Mr. Syed Hamid Raza, Course Facilitator from Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), in collaboration with Kala Shah Kaku.
Hosted at the REAP House in Karachi, the course offered an opportunity for REAP members and their staff to enhance their understanding of rice varieties and their characteristics.
During the ceremony, Mr. Chela Ram Kewlani, along with Ms. Yasmin Ismail and Mr. Syed Hamid Raza, expressed their views on the significance of the course in equipping participants with valuable insights into the rice industry. They emphasized the benefits of understanding rice varieties for the participants’ future endeavors.
Chairman Kewlani and the faculty members extended their best wishes to all the graduates, underscoring the importance of their newly acquired knowledge in their professional pursuits.
